The DJ Team is Ali & Gary, we both DJ at every gig and we're a couple with considerable experience organising events. Ali's organised music and arts festivals attended by over ten thousand people. Gary's been involved in corporate events for 20 years. We're both perfectionists, we can't help it, it has to be right.
THE MUSIC
It's your day, so you'll be able to tell us the music you definitely want to hear. You'll also need to tell us about the guests, because it's our job to find the right balance between what the older people like to boogie to, what the youngsters love, and to keep mixing the music up so that everybody gets time on the dancefloor and the occasional breather before coming back for more. If your uncle is famous for dancing badly to a particular tune, let's make sure it's played for him at the right time ... usually after a few drinks, but not too many!
We're happy to take tune requests. We bring thousands of tunes with us, but if there's Wifi we can play anything you want. But if there's a particular "must have" tune or a whole bunch of them, it helps if we know beforehand.
THE PLANNING
In addition to the music, there's the lighting. Lighting makes the party come alive, but if we're playing the music for your "first dance", we don't want to hit the laser and the full-on disco effects at that stage. Not normally anyway, unless you're about to go crazy from the first beat!
So it comes down to the planning. We'll aim to meet-up with you several weeks before the date (or sooner) to talk about the day and how things are expected to run and cover things like this:
We will always visit the venue well before your wedding to make sure that we know where we're setting up and that everything we need is available
THE CONFIRMATION
We will confirm everything back to you in writing or by email so that there's no doubt about the booking, plan or the timings. This is particularly important if things change. We'll always call you to discuss any changes and use email or messages purely for confirmation.
